A day we remember.
A moment in history where Jesus paid the ultimate price, death on a cross. Death for our sins.
All in that one single moment in time.
No matter how “good” I try to be, it will never be enough.
Jesus is the only thing that will ever be enough.
The greatest love that I have ever known is God’s love.
The story of the cross has impacted me since I was a little girl.
It has changed me.
It has changed what I do.
It has changed how I live.
It has given me hope like nothing else. Because I know that the cross isn’t the end of the story!
I wake up in the morning eager to do the things that God has created me to do.
Four of those things have been the thread of this blog, from the very beginning.
Parenting – Adoption – Organization – Decor
But there was something missing.
Something that I couldn’t quite describe in a simple way.
In a way that anyone who clicked on the blog could read in the very first 5 seconds.
You see, my heart’s desire has been to love others because Christ first loved me.
It is messy. It is hard. It isn’t easy.
We know that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all of your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself.
And I want my life to be a reflection of that.
A reflection of what it looks like to love others more than myself.
I know it will never be perfect.
I know that it will be a journey for a lifetime.
But it is my purpose, the needle to my thread.
To be intentional at home and simplify everything so that we have lots of time for one thing:
I believe that life is all about the little things, the little choices that we make, each and every day.
“We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” ~Mother Teresa
I hope that this space on the web gives you practical and helpful tips for you and your family and makes your day a little less chaotic and a little bit more beautiful.
But more than that, I hope that it will be a regular reminder: To Simply Love More.
