“Yes!” I told her.
That way I figured I could plan the rest next.
Suddenly more were bringing a dish to share.
However I did manage to get to the grocery store and buy the ingredients I needed for an egg bake. At least the house will smell nice…although it could burn (it almost always burns…the egg bake, not the house.)
I have a few extra plastic tablecloths downstairs.
I kept telling myself…
It is moments like these where I’m glad I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be perfect to invite people in. I’m glad that people are far more important than fretting over the lack of Easter decorations or gourmet meals. I’m glad that we had such a special reason to gather and celebrate.
I think we may have just witnessed the start of a new holiday tradition.
How was your Easter? Was there china or Easter baskets or egg bakes? I love hearing about how others enjoy these special moments together.
